Step one is the consultancy, or discovery, phase. It allows our project management team to listen to your needs – to understand your objectives and your challenges – whilst giving you the chance to draw upon our expertise in the process.
Our consultancy begins with a simple phone call, video call or email and, if required, a complete site survey conducted by one of our experienced project managers. During your consultation, we will assess everything: from your storage requirements, floor plan and building specifications; to vehicle and space restrictions, hours of work and any logistical complications to avoid unwanted revelations once the project is underway.
This stage is about more than simply obtaining information from you, it’s about forming a relationship. Trust is a vital aspect of any project. Without it, you’re doomed to fail from the start.
Design & Quote
Our design process focuses on taking your vision and bringing it to life. Once we have taken the time to understand your business requirements, our team of expert designers will collate the information and produce a comprehensive warehouse and storage design. Your project manager will work closely with you throughout this stage, presenting you with detailed design options and cost tailored to the budget and demands of your operation.
When you are satisfied with the designs, we will supply you with our thorough proposal: including a detailed quote and blueprint accounting for all your storage requirements. Your comprehensive plan will incorporate product size, primary units, traffic flow, packing areas, and loading bays; to boost productivity, efficiency, safety, and sustainability within your business whilst remaining within your scope and budget.

Project Management
Once the project gets the go-ahead, your account manager will immediately enlist the support of our in-house Procurement team and trusted network of suppliers. Nene can also draw upon our production and manufacturing facilities, in addition to a vast array of stock held at our 345,000 ft² head office based in Northamptonshire. Giving us superior flexibility in reducing lead times and ensuring your deadlines are secure.
Next, your account manager will begin liaising with Nene’s transport and installation departments. Together they will implement delivery and construction phase plans to suit your operation and discuss health and safety briefs to ensure a safe and efficient assembly of your warehouse.
Nene Warehouse Solutions are a SEMA-approved installation company. We comply with construction and site regulations as CITB and CSCS holders and hold not one but four SSIP accreditations! Our highly skilled and accomplished Installation department will be on hand to support you and your account manager right up until the project handover date. They will supervise daily site requirements, interface with third-party trades and ensure a swift resolution to any challenges on site.
Aftercare Service
While many companies have their sight locked in on your project completion date, Nene is committed to building long-lasting relationships with our clients. For us, project completion is just the beginning of this relationship.
We offer an array of aftercare services during project handover. Your account manager will continue to work alongside you to assess the long-term needs of your warehouse and provide the services that are best fit for you.
Our Contract Services Division is a team solely committed to keeping you and your employees safe, goods protected, and your warehouse industry compliant. Providing a suitable programme for rack awareness training, SEMA-approved racking inspections, maintenance, repairs, rack re-configurations, and small project works.
