Drive-in racking creates deep storage lanes that maximise space while reducing pick times and manual handling demands.
Drive-in racking is designed for high-density storage of palletised goods, typically used for large volumes of the same SKU. It enables forklifts to drive directly into the racking structure to load and retrieve pallets efficiently, with minimal aisle space required.
A cost-effective solution for deep storage
This modular racking system is often used in environments where storage density is a priority. The drive-in format allows forklifts to enter and exit the racking structure along single access lanes, making use of a Last In, First Out (LIFO) approach to stock rotation. For greater flexibility, a drive-through variation is also available, enabling two-sided access where required.
Built for high turnover operations, drive-in racking reduces the need for multiple access aisles, making it an ideal choice for cold storage, bulk goods, and seasonal inventory. The only specific requirement is a forklift equipped with rotating forks, as lateral movement is not possible within the lanes.
