The shuttle system is a deep-lane storage and retrieval system. The heart of the system is a shuttle which is used to move pallets in a racking structure that is specially designed for this purpose. This storage system is a fully automated system. The STC software handles the shuttle traffic with the orders being issued from the client’s WMS to the local warehouse control system. The STC is then selected to perform the specific task and determines the shuttle’s optimum path. The occupancy rate of the various storage lanes, the status and operation of each shuttle and an overview of all performed tasks can be seen with the STC or transferred to the client’s main system.
