The Challenge
Nene were approached by flooring specialists DMS Flooring to provide a suitable racking system for their new branch in North London. The requirements were a storage solution for pallets and a bespoke racking solution to store carpets.
The Solution
Nene worked with DMS Flooring to create CAD drawings of the two racking systems, a pallet racking system and a bespoke racking solution tailored to their unique carpet storage needs.
The bespoke racking solution for storing carpets comprised of Stow Adjustable Pallet Racking, including a 5,000mm deep chipboard decking to each level, with a total of 6 levels.
The pallet racking system consisted of a single run of Adjustable Pallet Racking, with 4 levels holding a maximum of 2,800kg per level. A double run of Adjustable Pallet Racking was also installed with 1 level 2,068mm high and 2 smaller levels above, with each level holding a maximum of 2,800kg per level.
The Finished Outcome
From the initial enquiry of the racking system, the solution was ordered, delivered and installed within a 2-week timeframe. This met DMS Flooring’s requirements, all in good time for the opening of their new London branch.
