Rapid Response: CCF Liverpool
The Challenge
Our client, a building merchant in the North of the UK, reported that an accident in the warehouse had caused sizeable damage to a racking frame and rack guard, resulting in the loss of eight pallet spaces. Stock had to be moved to the floor, and the warehouse was now exposed to several health and safety issues, and a ‘red risk’ on a SEMA inspection.
The Solution
In part, Nene deployed the Contracts Services team, who acts as a rapid response service to clients with urgent racking issues. The team assessed the job requirements, supplied replacement components from the large stock holding at Nene, and arranged for a SEIRS qualified maintenance team with the appropriate MEWP to attend the site.
The Finished Outcome
The job was finished within 48 hours, from the initial call to completion. The teams worked together to ensure all health and safety risks were eliminated and got the racking back in working order in under two hours. Nene kept productivity downtime to a minimum, and no danger came to the employees present.
